McGregor has food, gas, groceries and lodging. Another convenience store with gas is located near Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge in East Lake. Salo WMA is closest to Tamarack for food and gas. Take County Road 13 east to Lawler, food available, then north on County Road 16 to Tamarack.Good birding can also be found along County Road 30, Kestrel Avenue or 420th Street.
