Closest services are located in Aitkin. Food and gas are also available along US Highway 169 in several locations between Aitkin and Mille Lacs Lake. There are many lakes with boat accesses in this section, Farm Island Lake, Hanging Kettle Lake and several others are good spots to check for waterfowl in migration and to try a little fishing.
